What kind of grapes make a Bordeaux blend?
A Bordeaux blend is a composition of the grape varieties commonly used to make the red wines of Bordeaux. And it is the combination of grape varieties that is meant. It is, of course, the big red grape Cabernet Sauvignon that is talked about in the first place and also the most obligatory grape in a nice Bordeaux blend. Then you can mix a number of French grapes such as Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Carménère as well as Cinsault and Carignan.
New arrivals Brother's Mark Cabernet Sauvignon is a very affordable red wine of the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes as well as Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. But this wine does not come from France but is made at family producer Pedroncelli Winery in Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County, California. And there it is a rather warmer climate than on the European continent. So even though the red Bordeaux style is the same, wines with this famous blend differ in their profile. Pedroncelli Winery has succeeded admirably in creating a tasteful Bordeaux.
Grill wine – what are the differences?
It is not only the sun, but also the terroir, the soil, the winemaker, the grapes that mean that the Californian wines are sometimes experienced as denser, richer, fruit forward-wines with lovely oak barrel tones, a good long aftertaste and of course also a higher alcohol content than normal in French Bordeaux wines. Brother's Mark Cabernet Sauvignon is 14.8% in alcohol content, which normally also has the advantage that the wine can be stored for a few years, even if you can grill today and drink it!

Bold, fruit-driven properties! In addition to the wine being very affordable, you taste a lovely, medium-bodied red wine with a delicious fruit palette of dark summer berries, such as morels, plums and blackberries. You feel rich, ripe fruit flavors on your palate right through. This is then topped off by dried herbs such as oregano and roasted espresso and you sense an earthy tone. The round tannins produce a fine, long and tasteful finish of cedar and walnuts. A very taste-complex wine with good structure and fine acidity!
